Went to see The Rabbicorn Story last night. I won’t repeat the rave reviews (though you should read the reviews and see the exhibit!!), but the use of small bits of environmental scripting was subtle and masterful.

Talking with UW class tonight
The University of Washington extension has a certificate program in virtual worlds (see earlier post). Turns out that the teacher of several of the classes, Randy Hinrichs, has them using SYW as a textbook and has asked my to talk with his class tonight.
Update: I had a blast – lots of great questions and interaction. I was scheduled for an hour and ended up talking for two.
Why does windows uh… underperform so impressively?!?
Vista updated itself overnight and SL clients have been running terribly ever since. Caught the “Superfetch” service scanning random huge files while my cpu and disk should have been full out on SL… result: SuperCrummy performance with SuperCruddy halts and starts.

Added a flickr widget and the latest action on my open PJIRA bugs. Now back to work! Oh yes, and a separate mobile skin if you are using iphone/blackberry/android/etc.

Reinstalled wordpress
WSP’s “one-button install” didn’t allow me to personalize plugins and themes, so I reinstalled and reimported. Looks pretty good so far.
Book scanned
Sigh – SYW appeared on file sharing networks over the weekend. We iz not happy. I’m hoping that people still buy the book after they start reading the ripped pdf.
